The St. Beatus Caves on the shores of Lake Thun, near Interlaken, are one of the best-known and most popular destinations.

The first impression when we got off the bus was just amazing - look up the waterfall and the entrance of the caves, which nestle between the waterfall and the steep cliffs above. Wonderful opportunity to get some great shots.

It takes about 10-15 mins easy walk up to the caves.

About 1km into the depths of the Niederhorn massif, the St. Beatus Caves with their internal gorges, imposing caverns and babbling waterfalls exude a special power. The paths through the cave electrically lighted passages are safe and easy to follow. Visitors can take a tour of the mighty stalactite formations and gaze in awe at the unique shapes and colours to be found in the various caves.
